Satellite Runs

Because not everyone can participate in the more rigorous Memphis to Peoria Run, satellite runs were started from communities throughout Illinois and Missouri. Satellite runs feature runners from  Bartonville, Bloomington/Normal, Canton, Champaign/Urbana, ChicagoChillicothe, DecaturDunlapEast Peoria, Elmwood, Eureka, GalesburgKewanee, Kickapoo/BrimfieldLaSalle/PeruLewistown, LincolnMackinaw, Macomb, Marshall County, Mason City, Mattoon, Metamora, Minonk, Monticello, Morton, Pekin, Princeville, Quincy, Richwoods High School, Springfield,  St. Louis, TremontTri-County, and Washington. Why I Run

Because I’ve had a few students who have been patients and have made me more aware of this cause. My first run was this year and I will continue until I can no longer run:) Ed Gaitros If you could see the strength of the St. Jude children you would understand Monica Hogan Reeder Because we can.

The 2014 St. Jude Runs were able to raise over 4.1 million dollars largely because of the generosity of Gordon Walker, Scott Martin and the Board of Pekin Insurance.  The sponsorship of Pekin Insurance helped ensure that every dollar raised by a St. Jude Runner went directly to the research, treatment and care of Kids with cancer at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis and the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria.
